We specialize in floor preparation and application processes for new floors and fixing ineffective floors or replacing old epoxy flooring. Applicants must be drug free and be able to pass a background check. Valid driver's license is a plus. We have immediate openings in the Greater Seattle/Tacoma areas in Washington State. Must live no more than one hour from a major U.S. airport. All travel costs are paid by us and food per diem provided. Immediate positions available. Our pay matrix is at the top of the scale. Paid time off and health insurance offered after 60 days of full-time hours worked, 401k after 1 year.

Job Summary

The Installation Specialist is a key part of the installation team and responsible with preparation for installation and working with the finishers along the process.

  • No experience required, 1-year experience with epoxy, urethane, and other polymer flooring installation knowledge preferred
  • 1 year experience with concrete polishing and/or industrial painting
  • Lifting and moving bags of raw material
  • Mixing and preparing polymer for installation
  • Experience using required equipment, such as, trowel, chipping hammer, skill saw, planetary grinder, blaster, scarifier and shaver
  • Able to hang cove strip
  • Familiarity with common products used, mix ratios and material coverage rates
  • Ensures strict compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations
  • Inputs timely hours along with proper use/care/maintenance of equipment and materials
  • Strives to meet and exceed all production targets

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Be the manpower for highly technical seamless flooring installation
  • Load necessary equipment and supplies at the shop prior to the project
  • Perform daily safety check of all equipment and cords
  • Keep equipment clean during and at the end of the job
  • Assist Finishers in their tasks
  • Ask for help when needed and notify site management when they see a problem

Requirements:

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Must live no more than one hour from a major U.S. airport
  • Willing to regularly travel and stay out of town for various durations of time. All travel costs are paid by HTI and a food per diem is provided
  • Able to work days, evenings, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, as needed
  • Able to perform the following daily physical activities – work on your hands and knees, navigate any obstacles, climb ladders, stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Possess a valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States. HTI uses E-Verify

Additional Qualifications and Skills, a bonus:

  • Can operate and understand how and when to use chipping hammers
  • Has knowledge of generators and the safety involved with them
  • Can operate skills saws and properly cut joints and chases
  • Understands how and why to use a planetary grinder as well as choosing the proper tooling
  • Can operate a blaster, scarifier and shaver
  • Can hang a cove strip
  • Familiar with all common products used and mix ratios of our products
  • Familiar with coverage rates of our materials

We do not pay for relocation.
